On a recent weekend getaway to a rustic inn situated in Northern California’s wine country, we had a magnificent dinner, then retired to our big feather bed. We set up the camera, then promptly forgot it was there. Ms Quote tends to get carried away (one of her many endearing qualities). What a blessing it is to be with such a responsive woman—although the people in the adjoining rooms may have thought there was some mischief going on! We first met 18 years ago and became friends and confidants over a long distance. We eventually managed to spend an idyllic long weekend together in Northern CA. Time and circumstances conspired against us, and we lost touch. Two years ago, we found each other again. Even though 2000 miles separate us, we still find time to spend together in some of the most beautiful places on earth. On a weekend getaway to the Wine Country, we found a secluded spot to picnic on a shaded hilltop. Lying on our blanket, sharing good food and drink, clothes seemed suddenly inappropriate.
