We ventured up one of the mountains on our island for a panoramic backdrop to our picnic friskiness. K’s new glasses & coveralls really complimented the country splendour. We had some pleasurable slishy fun, and the animal spirits seemed to approve of our energy as on our way back, hoping to catch a fleeting sight of a feral goat or two (the ones here are stealthy and vanish into nature at the snap of a twig like little four legged elvish folk), we found the whole extended fam taking in the languid afternoon views as well. It was the first legitimately sticky warm summer day in our neck of the woods. We'd been languishing out in the hammock and getting all lethargic in the afternoon heat. The air was crisp first thing in the morning, we warmed each other up quite nicely while rush hour traffic on the bridge above us made their way to work, then went downtown to sample some nice resinous IPAs and feed the peacocks in Beacon Hill Park. The suitcase backdrop in this cozy little place we found made us wistful for further travel and was too good not to film something in. We checked in and opened a bottle of wine and planned on some mellow cuddly canoodling, ended up having far more energy after a day of driving than anticipated.
