Cornish Holiday Part 3: Ahoy there Cap'ain Glitterrr

We’re on a family holiday in Cornwall. One morning Glitter and Gold wake up a bit earlier than normal. Here in the UK (at the time of filming) a policy of social distancing has just come into force. This means that if you can work from home, you should, plus other restrictions on meeting up with people, although schools were still open at the time of filming (they were closed a couple of days later). Because Glitter and Gold are having to work from home and the children are at school, we decided to create this video (while we could), partly to cheer us up and hopefully you as well. To remind everyone that even in the darkest hour, you can still have fun and make #lockdownlove. And that it’s possible to stick two fingers up (or the finger / tell it to fuck off etc) at the virus while remaining safe and happy. Remember that your mental health is just as important as your physical health and spending time with your loved ones and sharing love with them helps with that especially in this uncertain time. It’s a strange day in early March in the UK. Cold white flakes are falling from the sky and even rarer, staying on the ground! Normally at this time of year this would be blossom but in this case, it is snow! After checking that the schools were still open so that we wouldn’t be disturbed by excited children having a “snow day” and having finished any morning meetings, we headed outside to have some fun in the snow ourselves, Glitter & Gold style.

Unfortunately, the neighbours were also out in their gardens mowing their lawns (thankfully not playing any music) so we had to keep quiet, but this does allow the birdsong to be heard – when the camera isn’t running out of battery. We have travelled down to Glastonbury for a winter Fairy Festival. While Gold is putting the kids to bed, Glitter gets dressed up to attend the Fairy Ball but once she gets back (in the early hours) she just wants to thank Gold for allowing her a night off from parental responsibilities.
