Getaway Surprise Andre decided to surprise me with an evening in our city- our favorite hotel, dinner at our favorite spot and the symphony! He arranged childcare for the kiddo and whisked me away to an evening with just the two of us- a sweet and thoughtful romantic gesture that we both needed! Life gets so busy so often and sometimes we just need those moments alone to sit and reflect and laugh and enjoy a beautiful evening of delicious food, tasty drinks, music and one another! The getaway was pretty special. And he thought to bring some camera equipment just in case the mood hit, which it did! Sometimes you have the perfect trip planned out- a true romantic weekend getaway. It’s amazing how in an instant, all of that can go away with a handful of comments between the two of us. We were silent the entire drive there, silent checking into our hotel, silent at dinner, minus the handful of tears. So much for the perfect romantic weekend. But Lynn and I have been together for a very long time. 19 years. So we know how to talk things through. We forgave each other and made up. Then we MADE UP.
